Meeting Ashley Nell Tipton?

Inspiration

All along I always watched Project Runway in TV.

I always dreamed on competing against other designers and winning it all in New York Fashion Week.

Season 14 of Project Runway was the most interesting one to watch because the lovely Ashley Nell Tipton represented “San Diego.” Not only that, but the designs threw me off!; especially with the first challenge.

Ashley Nell Tipton attended San Diego Mesa College (as where I am now)  and moved on to another school that doesn’t exists anymore.

Meeting her in the Grand Finale of the last episode of the winner was bizarre. I was glad to be invited to the W hotel for the last episode announcing the winner. I had a good feeling that she was going to win because her designs wowed me and blew up everyone’s mind.

As everyone is seeing who’s going to win project runway, I get prepared to hold back inside my eyes of no tears. I counn’t help, but to think how amazing did Ashley Nell Tipton was and still is. I cried because she won, cried of happiness and joy for her.

It give me like good shivers because it’s just that fantastic to see how hard she worked and how she always dreamed about all what came true.

Ashley Nell Tipton made me believe even more that dreams are real, and that you have to be able to set goals and accomplish the. If you want it so badly, you must go for it.

The time that I meet her was when it was only my first semester as a freshman in college.

Ashley Nell Tipton has always said “It doesn’t matter what school you got to, as long as you know what your learning is going to help you as a person and designer.” Designers don’t have to go where everyone went, which is true. I believe everyone can do it, It’s what your hands, mind, and your love is willing to create.  Many ideas out there can blew peoples mind.

Did you guys see the designs? Like her designs are fenominal.

I realllllyyy love how she uses so many colors in her collection that are different but simplify. The collection screams bold, beautiful, and brave.

Bold because it’s like a pow in the face with such colors and standard of how the designs fit the models.

Beautiful because all the pieces are so amazing and the fact that is Plus size models wearing it makes it more impressed. I even wish for the collection to have it in my size.

Bold because you can see the designers aren’t afraid of how they look, Fashion shouldn’t critique your size. Fashion is for everyone all over the world. A lot of plus size friends I have are afraid to show the body figure, and I feel like Ashley Nell Tipton really put together the pieces well thought.

Ashley is now Americas Fashion Designer for Plus sizes.

Month’s later she announces she is a Brand Ambassador for JCPenney.

I use to work at JCPenney, so as I work I would always admire her designs when passing where it was placed. I just wish they really had it on small for me to wear it.

Ashley keeps in touch with her followers, fans, and everyone.

I went to a Movie Screening that Ashley was hosting for “The Dressmaker” a movie about a dressmaker women accused for murdering when she was a child, she returns to her home which is Australia and gets revenge for does that made everyone think she was a murder when she was not. It was around the Fall season of 2016.

That was a amazing night, I was able to speak to Ashley again and take some pictures. She really admires everyone that has supported her and been inspired by her.

I sure did get inspired than ever before and still continue to get inspiration.

Ashley made me believe more what I believed than before, that dreams are real if you work hard for it and accomplish it by steps and encounter the mistakes in life or the bad when you think life is going down, when in reality it shouldn’t. EVER!

I admire Ashley Nell Tipton. I admire her work, designs, as a person, and how hard she has worked to achieve her goals that turned into dreams.

I know someday I will be a Mexican American Fashion Designer.
