The Truth About Fast Fashion

Lifestyle

Today I decided to write about ethical issues in the Fashion Industry. Not enough is said for most individuals that are involved in Fashion. I want to teach some knowledge I have gained to my viewers/followers.

As we proceed into the future, we start to realize how the fashion industry affects the world itself.  Most of us do not seem to pay attention to where our clothes come from, how its made, the practicum, and most importantly the facts.

As a future designer/merchandiser, I don’t want to just design to design. I want it to have a purpose, and my purpose is to change the Future of Fashion for the better. I will not go into debt with what my plans are for the future. You will all have to wait and see when it is time. Anyone can do anything, but its up to you how your willing to take make it better than others. There is always competition in the world with everything, just make the best out of it. As long as your happy with your work/self, that is what matters.

Now this topic is for people to view things differently in fashion at least a bit, because not everyone has the time to learn about unethical/ethical issues in the industry.

We all love to shop, be in style, keep up with trends, and evolve in Fashion.

Here are the one important issue everyone should be aware, regardless if you aren’t a future fashionista, but as a individual to make better decisions when it comes to fashion.

  1. Fast Fashion

Revolves around a lot of cheap labor stores such as Top-Shop, Forever21, Zara, H&M, Express, etc. to sell items at a much affordable price that are dupes from high end designers.

As for most of us in the world, we cannot afford to buy unique/luxurious, designer wear. For instance, we buy what we can afford or what is best for our budgets. It makes it a very difficult situation to solve. Fast fashion allows individuals to own similar looks, to still be on top of the trends. Often times, most fast fashion stores as I mention make the clothing much faster and change pieces seasonally more often than top designers and companies. The process allows designers to showcase their collections during fashion week, and once the stores sees the looks on the runway, they mimic a similar look to be sold at a much more affordable price within days as opposed to the the designers’ official collection release.  However, due to the “intellectual property law” no suing or change can be made due to the fashion cycle changing so quickly, fashion is evolutionary, fashion modifies existing styles; allows difficult process to file a copyright, and the garment itself cannot be protected. This ties down to counterfeit, a product that bears a label or distinct copyrighted design feature of another designer/brand without having paid licensing fees or permission of trademark.

As a individual/fashion lover will you continue to support fast fashion? Why or Why not? Can it be solved, were fast fashion no longer exists? How so?

Theres more to Fast Fashion, in which corresponds to Sweatshops.. stay tune on the next post.

Good Afternoon my lovely people;

IMG_1046

I have been gone, I know, I been working on myself and getting my things together before I hit the Beach this August!

In today’s post I will be talking a little about motivation.

I haven;t had the time to explore and adventure my life away to show you guys; but I promise I will<3 I mean common, I just finished school..

Everyone questions me, how in the world do I feel so motivated and inspired to do the things I do.

Well you see, you have to have the vision and day dream how you want your future to be, and when you do you feeeel a breeze and have emotional thoughts because it’s like wow that is your dream… your life.

I know for me, It feels so daaam amazing. For me it has always been this way, I cry for the most littlest things such ass getting into CSULB, being honored at school, or accomplishing things in life. People think it’s pathetic, but I feel like everything is a blessing and it brings many emotions.

You have to remember why you started, and remember that everything is possible in this world. You can be anything AND be it.

Life is short, Never thought life would be so quick. I remember I wanted to grow up quick when I was in high school.., but in reality now that I grown, I sure wish I would of not thought that way because I let the time go the way it want’s to go now. Make everyday count, and don’t give up.

As of now, I am currently in Summer; free from school for now., I plan to take a free sewing class to strengthen my skills and a online class “Sociology.’ Aside from that, it’s really not a summer for me. I am working on myself, working on my designs, pattern drafting, blog post, explore San Diego a little before I head to Long Beach August 2017. && of course, working at Bloomingdale’s.

I really wan’t to say more of what inspired me to be where I’m at, and were I got all the motivation.. sooo, That will be in a video, because I feel like when I talk about it everyone will understand more and feel it.

I really do hope everyone looks up to me and gets inspired.

Inspire to Aspire.

Love,
